🎄 What you need to know 🧑‍🎄 Disney Very Merriest After Hours Event - Disney News

Disney Very Merriest After Hours Event is all new this year. It is replacing Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party which has been running since 1983. We are going to go over the information that has been released for the Holiday’s at Disney and what you need to know to plan your trip.

We do not think that the Disney’s Very Merriest after hours event will be replacing the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party permanently. There are a few changes you need to know. This is an after hours event not a party at the Magic Kingdom. This is a separately ticketed event so you will need to have a ticket to participate. The event will go for 4 hours this time, instead of the 3 hours for Disney’s Boo Bash so that’s a good thing, it will go from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am. We assume this will operate similarly to Boo Bash in that if you do not have a ticket for the Magic Kingdom you can still enter the park at 7pm 2 hours before the event starts. This is very different from Disney’s Very Merriest Christmas party which allowed you to enter the park at 4:00pm.

Tickets for Disney Very Merriest After Hours will go on sale next month. Pricing has not been announced but if we use the Boo Bash announcement as a guide this will be an expensive ticket costing between $129 to $199 per person depending on the day. Although not a huge bump in price, you also get less time in the park than last year’s Christmas event, so overall it’s quite a bit more expensive with less park time. Annual pass holders and DVC members will get a $10 discount.

This is a lot of money to pay for a special ticketed event. What is included with your Very Merriest after hours ticket? Fireworks is back with Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show, there will be holiday attraction overlays and new projections on Cinderella Castle, once more there will be holiday treats, ice cream, popcorn and bottled beverages all included in the ticket price and all you care to enjoy. Additionally the characters will be out, snowfall is back on Main Street, USA, there will be new themed food and beverages available for purchase, some holiday themed photo pass opportunities and special lighting.

Disney Worlds Christmas celebrations don’t stop at the Magic Kingdom. Over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we have Sunset Seasons Greetings back which is such a great show including the holiday projects on the “Holiday” Tower Hotel. Santa Claus will also bring the cheer on a float or motorcade down Hollywood Boulevard. Two other items in Hollywood are the “For the first time in forever: a frozen sing-along celebration” and Minnie mouse is back at Hollywood & Vine for Minnie’s Holiday Dine.

Our other Disney Tip if you enjoy Disney during the holidays is to check out Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs. Bother have seasonal decorations and their own special touches to celebrate the holidays.
