Hotels in Miami are a dime a dozen, what hotels should you book when you’re staying in Miami?

On our most recent trip on the Norwegian Breakaway, as we always recommend we arrived a day early and stayed at the Kimpton EPIC hotel in Miami. We are going to give you a Hotel Review and a view of the room we had on our stay. Located right near Dodge Island in Biscayne Bay the Kimpton EPIC (part of the Intercontinental Hotel Group of hotels) is located right on the water and with some rooms that have a view of Dodge Island this hotel combines lots of food options with a modern, boutique hotel vibe and a yoga, barre and spa.

About 20 minutes from Miami International Airport (MIA) and approximately 5-10 minutes from the cruise terminal you are very well situated for a quick and easy drive to your ship. The rooms were clean, service was friendly and you can’t beat the location.

That said if you want a great view of your ship coming in you won’t get that here, although you can see Dodge Island you’re facing the shipping port area more than the cruise port as you can see in our video.

That said, the Kimpton EPIC is a great hotel in Miami and definitely a good option to book for your next cruise.
